Advertising for Clinical Trials: Site Training Materials

Velocity Clinical Research

Advertising for Clinical Trials Site Training

To support patient recruitment across 80 research sites, I developed a comprehensive suite of tools, guides, and processes designed to streamline and enhance local advertising efforts for clinical trials. By creating a centralized library of customizable materials, I empowered site staff to efficiently promote studies while maintaining brand consistency and compliance.

Goals

  • Standardize and simplify the creation of patient recruitment materials for diverse clinical trials.
  • Equip site staff with training and resources to execute effective local advertising campaigns.
  • Enhance recruitment outcomes by providing high-quality, consistent promotional materials.

Key Contributions

Training Materials and Guides

  • Developed easy-to-follow guides outlining best practices for advertising clinical trials across digital, print, and in-person channels.
  • Created step-by-step workflows to help site staff navigate patient recruitment processes efficiently.

Centralized Resource Library

  • Designed and built a robust library of customizable patient recruitment flyers, social media templates, email drafts, and posters.
  • Ensured all materials adhered to branding, compliance, and regulatory standards.

Processes and Tools

  • Standardized advertising workflows to reduce administrative burden and enable quick deployment of promotional campaigns.
  • Developed tools for tracking and evaluating the performance of recruitment efforts.

Outcomes and Impact

  • Increased site staff efficiency by providing ready-made materials and clear instructions, allowing them to focus on patient engagement.
  • Improved recruitment outcomes by enabling high-quality, localized advertising campaigns tailored to each study's unique needs.
  • Fostered stronger alignment and communication between central marketing teams and site staff, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.

What Made This Project Memorable
This project highlighted the power of enabling local teams with the right tools and guidance. Seeing site staff confidently execute campaigns and successfully recruit patients demonstrated the real-world impact of thoughtful processes and well-designed resources. It was rewarding to create a scalable system that aligned recruitment goals with the organization’s broader mission to improve patient access to clinical trials.
