My photography roots
I always enjoyed browsing through my baby book as a child. I’ve built my daughters’ baby books as photo albums, the same way my mom built mine, I love displaying photos as artwork in my home, and appreciate many styles of photography.
My earliest photography work involved a 35mm film camera and little sisters as models. I've been documenting life through photography since middle school, and I love helping others document theirs.
I’ve been shooting freelance photography since 2010 and developed my photography skill through research, practice, mentoring programs, classes and workshops. I continue to learn, grow and adapt as technology evolves. Read more »
My creative roots
Nearly 15 years ago, I was fresh out of college and had just begun my career at an advertising agency in Lincoln, Nebraska. I remember meeting new colleauges and being asked if I was “a creative.” I had just picked up on ad agency lingo and knew that by “are you a creative?” they were asking if I was a designer or copywriter.
Still, answering no didn't feel right – so my response came out, “Well, I am creative, but I work in account service.”
