Behind the lens
From flipping through my baby book as a child to creating cherished photo albums for my own daughters, photography has always been a significant part of my life. My journey began with a 35mm film camera and my little sisters as models. Since middle school, documenting life through photography has been my passion.
I’ve been shooting freelance photography since 2010, and have honed my skills through relentless practice, mentorship, classes, and workshops. As technology evolves, so does my craft, ensuring each photo is a piece of art you'll treasure forever.
My creative roots
Nearly 15 years ago, I was fresh out of college and had just begun my career at an advertising agency in Lincoln, Nebraska. I remember meeting new colleauges and being asked if I was “a creative.” I had just picked up on ad agency lingo and knew that by “are you a creative?” they were asking if I was a designer or copywriter.
Still, answering no didn't feel right – so my response came out, “Well, I am creative, but I work in account service.”
In the years to follow, my love and appreciation of the art of advertising grew while working alongside the most creative minds at all levels. This journey has enriched my perspective and continues to influence my creative expression in photography.
